Columbus, Ohio Anniversary Session - Trevor & Kari

As I mentioned previously, I'm so excited to be sharing some of the sessions and weddings that this past year was so busy I never found the time to sit down and blog! It's one of my goals for 2017 and beyond to be better and more consistent in sharing - hopefully by creating a calendar schedule JUST for blogging. It's easier said than done, especially during the busy seasons and then the holidays always seem to hit, but I'm going to try! I have so many sweet couples and stories to share with you all. Kari and Trevor are talented photographers out of Columbus, Ohio! We met a few years ago when they were guests at a wedding and we've stayed in touch ever since. It's fun knowing when I go home to visit my parents, I can always give Kari a call to meet up and grab coffee in a city where I don't know many people! This particular visit we scheduled Anniversary pictures and their first official shoot with their sweet pup Remi! We explored so many fun places in the city of Columbus, talking about their relationship and marriage as we photographed. I gave them a ridiculous amount of images as there were just so many sweet moments that I couldn't stand being deleted forever, so it made choosing the following images that much harder! Kari also did a blog post so if you want to see even MORE from the session, go here! It's always an honor to be chosen to photograph fellow artists, thank you for spending the afternoon with me - I loved capturing your love! xo

Here's a few of my favs from our time together!

Biltmore Wedding - PJ & Courtenay

biltmore wedding photographer

Courtenay and PJ's wedding at the Biltmore could not have been a more perfect balance of romance, organic elegance, and personal (very emotional) exchanges. On a breezy and rainy day, Courteny and PJ said their vows at Lioncrest on Biltmore Estate. One of my favorite moments was when Courtenay met PJ on top of a hill in the forest on the grounds, they stood back to back reading letters they had written to each other before turning around for their first look. It was extremely emotional and perfectly intimate. The whole day felt completely comfortable and relaxed (even while dodging the rain), and they simply just soaked everything in. It was an honor to witness their love and capture these sweet moments and memories. A huge thanks to Julia for helping me document the day!

If you want to see even more from this gorgeous day, Courtenay and PJ's wedding was recently published on Grey Likes Weddings (such an honor!)

Black Balsam Engagement Session - Ray & Sarah

asheville engagement session

Ray & Sarah traveled all the way from Singapore for a trip along the East Coast of the United States, starting in New York City and finishing up in in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. Ray is currently in training abroad so the two hadn't seen each other prior to the trip since he proposed months and months prior. We took full advantage of the time with the perfect mix of exploring (hiking in the most humid/foggy temps EVER), and soaking in all the time with each other with all the sweet moments they could get. Ray had proposed in front of a waterfall during a trek to Malaysia the previous year, so we hiked into the woods to a secluded Falls for half of their portraits. The other half we drove up to the top of Black Balsam Knob, only to find a thick fog had settled, creating a romantic scene as we hiked back down the mountain side. I had so much fun getting to know them as a couple and their life and culture in Singapore. It was an honor to be chosen to photograph your engagements during your trip to the States - thanks for adventuring with me you two!
